SORP Executive Director - No longer accepting applications 

The Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals (SORP) Board of Directors is currently seeking an organized, energetic and passionate Executive Director to oversee day-to-day operations for the professional society, execute the organization’s mission, support members as well as the elected board of directors, support annual conference planning responsibilities for the National Outdoor Recreation Conference, and expand development and growth opportunities for SORP.

The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director, along with the Board of Directors, is responsible for formulating and implementing the mission of the Society of Outdoor Recreation Professionals and facilitates optimal interaction between the Membership and the Board of Directors. This position is contract based employment, for up to 30 hours of work per week.

The duty station and hours of availability will be determined during the negotiation of this contract. It is assumed that duties can be completed by the Executive Director from a reasonable and comfortable office setting. There is some required travel for this position (5-10 days per year).
